​God's country is indeed in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.  This idyllic spot of one of the most picturesque areas of New England has quaint towns such as Westmore where Bill and Jim's sister, Ellie lives.  Just north of the village is the north end of Lake Willoughby  that this painting depicts  The Gap is on the southern end of this pristine lake.  This painting is sold, but Bill will be creating similar works that give the peaceful vibe that the viewer can enjoy!
